AppVentiX and TMurgent announced the integration of both TMEdit and TMEditX into the AppVentiX software, a Powerful Deployment & Application Lifecycle Management for App-V and MSIX.
AppVentiX customers may now have a single place to manage the packaging and deployment of both App-V and MSIX application packages, for persistent desktops, as well as virtual desktops as diverse as non-persistent VDI, RDS (Citrix/Horizon), and Microsoft AVD and CloudPC. With Microsoft extending the life of the App-V Sequencer and Client, but not the Management Server, App-V customers are scrambling for the server replacement offered by AppVentiX.
While integrated directly into the console, AppVentiX customers will still need to acquire a license for the TMurgent products they wish to use.
TMEdit is a powerful editor for Microsoft App-V packages. The software analyzes the packages from the App-V Sequencer and recommends fixes to known flaws in the Sequencer, plus additional improvements in the package for functionality and performance. Manual editing is possible through the rich GUI, but also automated fixups are available through a command line interface.
TMEditX is the amazing editor for Microsoft MSIX Packages, which works with packages created by the Microsoft MSIX Packaging Tool and others. It analyzes the packages for the intent of the application vendor installation against the full capabilities of MSIX, typically not included in the other tools. When needed, it will apply the latest version of our fork of the Package Support Framework – the most capable fixups there are. And it will apply the latest schema changes to bring MSIX applications the fullest integrations possible today. Manual editing is possible via the GUI, or there is a command line API for automation.
TMEdit and TMEditX are available as separate licenses for customers only requiring one of these package formats, or there is a bundle license that includes both. Both have fully functional trial versions for POCs.
